Aanand spent several years in investment banking at and mergers and acquisitions at Morgan Stanley and Dolby Labs and acted as an adviser to leading security software, semiconductor and clean tech companies. He started his career building high-speed optical networking products at Agilent Technologies. Aanand holds an MBA from Berkeley where he was a recipient of CJ White Fellowship, a Masters in Photonics and Optoelectronics from UC Santa Barbara where he was a QUEST Fellow and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with Honors from BITS, Pilani.
Before co-founding Tala, he was a Senior Researcher at Symantec Research, where he worked on a variety of cloud, mobile and network technologies. Prior to Symantec, he held various engineering positions in startups (Neoscale Systems, Ukiah Software) as well as big companies (Cisco, Novell). Hemant holds a B.S. in Computer Science from MIT, India.
Most recently, he spent 9 years at Symantec managing Symantec Research Labs, one of the key innovation engines of the company. Prior to joining Symantec, he co-founded two companies and led their engineering – Neoscale Systems, a data encryption company, and Ukiah Software, a network security company. Earlier in his career, he has worked in various engineering positions at Novell. Sanjay received a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an M.S. in Computer Science from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Swapnil started his career as a Security Consultant at Ernst & Young, followed by an extensive work in the threat research and response teams at Microsoft, Symantec and Dell. Swapnil holds Master Degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai.
Content Before Currenex, Ken was Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and a Board Director of GetThere (a Brentwood Venture Capital/USVP portfolio company) where he led its IPO as well as its $750 million acquisition by Sabre. Prior to joining GetThere, Ken was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Preview Travel (a Kleiner Perkins portfolio company), which acquired and changed its name to Travelocity. Ken led Preview’s IPO. o Before joining Preview Travel, Ken was a Corporate Vice President and Executive Committee Member at General Instruments and at Quantum Corporation where he was responsible for corporate strategy and business development. Previously, he held senior management positions in sales and marketing at Sun Microsystems and Intel.
His operating roles included 23 years at GE, 8 years as CEO of Intuit and 20 months as CEO of Symantec. His board experience spans a wide range of public companies including Intuit, Sun Microsystems, Qualcomm, Symantec and Insweb.
